Two Fall Workshops:  Zona Yoga & Darling Yoga

Text Box: From Nicole Wilt:
I have been practicing and teaching yoga for over 9 years. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Kansas State University. The study of anatomy, physiology, and mechanics of body movement and yoga has allowed me to incorporate all of those elements together. Yoga is not just a workout but it is about working on improving yourself.  I have studied from many amazing teachers around the world but for many years my focus was on the asanas.  I always had intention to study more on meditation and pranayama but the timing was not right until pranayama teacher, Sami Aaron came into my life.
Sami helped take my personal practice to a deeper level.  Asana practice will develop your body but pranayama will develop your mind!  Sami and I worked together once a week for several months on developing a strong pranayama practice for me to incorporate into my daily practice.  I have to say she planted the seed in me because now I look forward to my pranayama practice just as much as my asana practice.  Since practicing pranayama, I am more at peace with myself and my surroundings.  Breathing is life. It is one of our most vital functions.
Pranayama Yoga goes hand in hand with the Asanas. The union of these two Yogic Principles is considered as the highest form of purification and self-discipline, covering both mind and body. I am so blessed that I have found that deeper connection of Pranayama with Asana practice not only for myself but as a teacher to implement in all my yoga classes.  Sami displays a gift for helping you feel more comfortable with your pranayama practice and how to personalize your daily practice with exactly what you need to help balance your mind, body and spirit.  Thank you Sami for giving me the tools to take not only my personal yoga practice to a deeper level but also helping me to be a better yoga teacher.

Text Box: From Leslie Guerra:
For me, meditation is what helps me to slow down and to remember that the present moment is all we really have.  I use it to calm my anxieties and to work on cultivating compassion for myself and others.  When I am in a steady practice, I am happier, more well rested, mentally and physically, and more available to others in my life.
