Ahimsa—it’s a concept that is explored in the first limb of yoga and refers to non-harming and non-violence. It’s a philosophy of how we treat the world around us. The more we study yoga and the deeper we go in our Pranayama and Meditation practices, we come to believe that all things are connected—humans, plants, animals, insects. And so, instead of printing flyers for our classes and the inherent waste of paper, printer cartridges, and gasoline to deliver them to various locations around town, we will do as much advertising as we can via the web and emails. We hope you will forward our website link onto anyone you think might have an interest. If you’re a studio owner or have a health and wellness related business and would like to promote our classes or workshops, we ask that you simply add our website as a link from yours or include it in your newsletters or emails you send to your clientele. If you have a central location or bulletin board, please feel free to print a copy or two of a workshop flyer and post there. If you’re planning on attending one of our workshops and would like to carpool, just contact us and we’ll set up carpool lists whenever possible. If you have other ideas on how we can be the “greenest” breathers and meditators in KC, please feel free to share! |
